Demarest, Jr., Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI New York Division will present a discussion on Terrorism Preparedness for New York City Hospitals. AHRMNY presented a half day session focused on patient safety initiatives. We highlighted the 10th anniversary of the Institute of Medicine’s report on patient safety, To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System. The program included a discussion of best practices in the domain of patient safety, identified accomplishments over the past decade, explored strategies to assist in building a solid foundation for safer systems and shared metrics used to track progress on safety initiatives.
